Upgrading to StructureGram
FamilyGram is for family trees. StructureGram includes FamilyGram and adds the entity, ownership, asset, and advisory workflows used for client structure work.
If your work has moved beyond people and family relationships into companies, trusts, SMSFs, assets, loans, distributions, or ownership diagrams, StructureGram is the next step.
What StructureGram Adds
StructureGram includes everything you already use in FamilyGram, plus:
- Companies, trusts, SMSFs, and partnerships alongside individuals.
- Ownership diagrams for shareholdings, directorships, trustee relationships, beneficiaries, and control structures.
- Asset, liability, loan, lease, and distribution records for richer client structure reporting.
- Tax election support for Family Trust Elections and Interposed Entity Elections.
- Imports and integrations, including Xero Practice Manager and ASIC extract workflows.
- Scenarios for modelling proposed restructures or succession planning before changing the live structure.
For more detail, visit structuregram.com.au or see the StructureGram upgrade overview.
What Carries Across
Your existing FamilyGram workspace moves with you. You keep:
- Your organisation and users.
- Client groups.
- Individuals and family relationships.
- Family tree diagrams.
- Documents and sharing settings.
Family trees are part of StructureGram, so you do not need to recreate your work.
How to Upgrade
You need to be an organisation admin to upgrade.
- Open Account.
- Go to Billing.
- In the Subscription section, choose StructureGram.
- Review the plan and complete checkout.
After the upgrade, your workspace opens with the StructureGram features available. Your existing FamilyGram data remains in place.
Plan and Billing Notes
FamilyGram and StructureGram use the same organisation billing account. If you already have a paid FamilyGram subscription, the upgrade changes that subscription rather than creating a separate workspace.
Plan capacity is based on client groups, and every plan includes unlimited users.
When StructureGram Is the Better Fit
StructureGram is usually the better fit when you need to show:
- Who owns or controls an entity.
- How companies, trusts, SMSFs, and individuals connect.
- Assets or loans within a client structure.
- Proposed restructure options.
- Information imported from Xero Practice Manager or ASIC.
If you only need family tree diagrams, FamilyGram may still be enough.
